Animal Blessing
Blessing of the Animals
In celebration of the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi we invite you to join us on Sunday, October 8, 2023 after the 11am Mass at St. Therese Church grounds for a blessing of the animals service. We encourage you to bring your pets to be blessed individually. All are welcome.
Also, in honor of St. Francis of Assisi Feast we have reached out to our local Animal Haven which has an Amazon wish list on their website theanimalhavenct.org and they are in need of Garbage bags, Paper towels, KMR Powdered milk for kittens, Dryer sheets, cat scratching posts, cat litter and toys etc...
The North Haven Animal Shelter Director has told us they are in need of the Kuranda dog beds for the dogs that are at the shelter. Monetary Donations, payable to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity can be given directly to our Parish in an envelope marked Pet donation and placed in the collection baskets. They help animals with sore hips, elbows or shoulders from the pressure of the hard ground. Boxes will be set up at each church in the vestibules for these donations. The Shelters are in such need at this time and are very grateful for any donations.
