Altar Servers

Altar Servers assist the priest before, during, and after Mass. An Altar Server assists by preparing the Sanctuary for the celebration of Mass, carries the cross or candles in procession, brings books and sacred vessels to and from the Altar during Mass and cleans up after the Mass is over. The Altar Serving Team is made up of young people from grade four through seniors in high school. Altar Servers provide a very important role during the celebration of Mass. New Altar servers are always welcome. Those wanting to become servers must be a Catholic in good standing and have received the sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist. There are training sessions held several times throughout the year for those who are interested in joining the Altar Server Team. Altar Servers are put on a rotating schedule.
